On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to welcome each of you to the “18th Royan Reproductive Biomedicine Congress” (RRBC) that will take place from Aug 30 to Sept 1, 2017 in Tehran.
Thanks to the leading role of Royan Institution in Reproductive Biomedicine and Stem Cells, we have devised Scientific Programs with International communities through convention of Annual Royan International Research twin Congress and Award on Reproductive Biomedicine (18th) as well as Stem Cell Biology and Technology (13th).
The Reproductive Biomedicine is an important area in which numerous researches should be conducted to put us on the track of the cutting edge.
In the upcoming congress (18th Royan Reproductive Biomedicine), the scientific program is scheduled to the keynote speakers, plenary sessions, poster presentations and other programs such as educational and viable workshops.
The theme of this year will be around “Translational Medicine”; it will broadly cover all disciplines of ART protocols and its challenges from fundamental research to “personalized medicine” applications in reproduction highlight global reproductive scientific interactions and collaborations.
On behalf of the scientific committee of RRBC, it is my sincere pleasure to invite the distinguished and senior researchers to attend as invited speakers, the principle investigators and postgraduate students to participate actively by sending abstracts of their research results article or as audience since organizing committee intends to provide a wonderful forum for you to meet, interact and exchange your ideas with the Iranian and International outstanding scientists.
Before I close, I request you actively engaged in the conference and keep us proactive and help us shape the future of Reproductive Biomedicine. The members of the local organizing committee are very proud to be your host and look forward to welcoming you to our city and country. Parvaneh Afsharian, Ph.D.
Chairperson of the 18th Royan Congress on Reproductive Biomedicine
Parvaneh Afsharian is head of Reproductive Genetics Dept., in Royan institute since 2013. She was graduated in both Chemistry and Biology (in BSc level) from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
Her MSc subject was Genetics with the project entitle (Chromosomal abnormalities in patients with the pubertal and reproductive failures) in collaboration with Royan Inst.
Then she joined Royan Inst. (Genetics Dept.) in 2000 and a few years later she moved to Department of Medicine in Karolinska Institute (KI), Sweden to start her PhD in Pharmacogenetics of Bone Marrow Transplantation Chemotherapy.
Immediately after PhD program in 2007, she started her first postdoc in Experimental Cancer Medicine group under supervision of Professor M. Hassan in Lab Medicine Dept., KI and in 2008 she joined the professor Inge Olsson group in Lund University to investigate “The Localization of Target Therapy in Hematopoietic Stem Cells”. Since 2011, she works as an academic member and her major research interest is Pharmacogenetics aspects of Reproductive Medicine and infertility.
