The Royan Institute is a renowned center committed to fostering campus-wide multidisciplinary, integration and collaboration among academic and medical personnel. Its mission is to advance the undrestanding of male and female infertility, embryo development, stem cell biology, and biotechnology. The Institute provides comprehensive services in infertility treatment, regenerative medicine, cell therapy, the production of recombinant proteins, and the development of biological products.
Established in 1991 by the late Dr Saeid Kazemi Ashtiani and a group of researchers and physicians white the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR)' The Institute began as an outpatient surgery center. Its Initial purpose was to provide medical services to infertile couples and to conduct research and training in reproductive sciences. In 2002, the institute's research scope expanded into stem cell studies, with subsequent findings being adapted for applications in regenerative medicine and cell therapy. After three successful decades, The Royan Institute now focuses on increasing the success rate of infertility treatment, improving embryo health, and enhancing public health through it's clinical cell therapy services.
